INFOTAINMENT FOR THE PEOPLE OF EARTH SINCE 2006

THE LAST OPRAH WINFREY SHOW

She didn't give anyone a car. She didn't pass out any of her favorite things. After 25 years, Oprah Winfrey ended her reign as daytime's queen rather quietly. The only guest was Oprah herself. For her last hout, she stood alone on her stage and talked to the nation. She talked about the lessons the show has taught her and urged her audience to learn as she has.

YOU KNOW IT'S SWEEPS WHEN...

It's the last big sweeps period of the TV season. Legedary shows like Oprah are ending. Mary Hart is leaving Entertainment Tonight and network TV shows are airing their season finales. Of course, there are plenty of sweeps stunts. The over-the-top things your favorite TV shows do to up their ratings.

Oprah - She's been counting down to her last show everyday this month. Celebrities are saying goodbye. She's catching up with her favorite and least favorite guests.

Entertainment Tonight - Even though her replacement, Nancy O'Dell, has been on all season, the show is saying goodbye to Mary Hart. Tonight, Neil Patrick Harris surprised her on set with 29 yellow tulips. One for each year she's been with the show. Tomorrow, Mark Harmon says goodbye.

Inside Edition - The stories always get real trashy on Inside Edition during sweeps, and this may has been no exception. They've done stories on a mom who gave her daughter Botox and a boy who wears dresses.
