2011 IN REVIEW: STAR SCANDALS

2011 would have been nothing without its share of celebrity scandals and there were plenty of them making headlines. From Arnold Schwarzenegger's 15-year-old love child with his housekeeper to Ashton and Demi's split, 2011 was full of drama.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver divorce
After 25 years of marriage, Arnold and Shriver announced they were separating back in May. Later in the month, we found out why. Arnold had a secret affair right under Maria's nose - with their own housekeeper!

Russell Brand & Katy Perry Divorce
After just over a year of marriage, the singer and actor/comedian announced they are getting a divorce. On December 30 Brand released a statement saying, "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

Charlie Sheen Goes Crazy
Quit "Two and a Half Men" and traded insults with his bosses. Ended the year on a "winning" note. He's got a new show starting in 2012.

Anthony Weiner Twitter Scandal
The New York Democrat tweeted lewd pictures of himself for the world to see. At first, he said his account was hacked into, but later he was forced to reveal the truth. Too much heat caused the U.S. representative to resign.

Kim Kardashian's Divorce
E! paid the socialite millions to air her wedding to basketball player Kris Humphries. 72 days later, their marriage was over. Many thought the whole event was a fake to bring even more attention to the Kardashian family.

Hermain Cain
The Republican was ahead in the polls, but allegations of sexual harassment and infidelity brought his campaign to its knees.

Penn State Scandal

Former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a number of boys he was supposed to be mentoring. Legandary coach Joe Paterno was forced out for failing to alert police.

HOWARD STERN JOINS AMERICA'S GOT TALENT

Howard Stern ended 2011 with a bang. On Thursday, he put weeks of rumors to rest, announcing he will be a judge on NBC's America's Got Talent next summer. For weeks, rumors have been swirling about Stern joining the show. It will now be taped in New York City to accommodate Stern's Sirus/XM radio show. Howie Mandel is psyched about Stern judging along with him. Of course, the Parents' Television Council is already blasting NBC for hiring Stern. If you don't like it, don't watch it! Stern knows music and is a fan of the show. He'll be a great addition to AGT. Piers Morgan probably should have stayed on board. His CNN show is not doing well in the ratings.
