REAL-LIFE "SUPERHEROES" FIGHT CRIME IN HBO DOCUMENTARY
Wednesday, August 31, 2011
Superman isn't just in the comic books. There are real-life super men working to keep you safe from coast to coast. The HBO documentary, "Superheroes," follows these costumed warriors as they try to fight crime on the streets. They wear masks. They wear capes. Some of them even claim to have super powers. The superheroes say the world is corrupt, so it's up to them to make things better again.
This documentary follows the heroes around in their day-to-day life. Heroes like Master Legend who wears armor and claims to protect the people of Orlando, Florida. He's the head of a non-profit known as "Team Justice" and like the average man, Master Legend enjoys himself an iced cold beer or two. Then, there's Mr. Xtreme, who lives in the Xtreme Cave, preparing for battle watching shows like the Power Rangers. We meet this parents who think his real-life crime-fighting is too dangerous.
"Superheroes" is about 80 minutes long and is running on HBO On Demand. It's simply fascinating. You won't be able to turn away.

STEVE JOBS RESGINS
Thursday, August 25, 2011
The man who brought us several devices that we can't live without has resigned. Steve Jobs has stepped down as CEO of Apple. This is is resignation letter:
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
Jobs had a liver transplant several years ago. No word on whether his health contributed to his decision to step down.
