David Letterman Grills Paris Hilton

MUST SEE VIDEO

David Letterman goes after Paris Hilton about the time she spent in jail during Friday's show. An uncomfortable Paris squirms in her chair and tries to change the subject, but Letterman wouldn't have any of it. Good for Dave for making her look like the ass that she is.

Dan Rather Sues CBS

This just in: Dan Rather is still pissed with his old network. The former "CBS Evening News" anchor is suing CBS, Viacom and three of his former bosses for $70 million dollars. Rather charges his old bosses with "intentional mishandling" of the aftermath of the "60 Minutes II" story that led to his exit from CBS nes in 2006. The story about President Bush's Air National Guard service relied on documents, which were quickly discredited. The story resulted in several news executives and producers leaving the network. Rather also stepped down from the anchordesk after 24 years. CBS responded to the lawsuit in a statement that said, “These complaints are old news and this lawsuit is without merit.”

Britney Spears to Undergo Drug/Alcohol Testing

Britney Spears has been ordered to undergo random alcohol and drug testing twice a week. A Los Angeles judge also ordered Spears and K-Fed to refrain from drinking and drugging around their two sons. Only Spears will be subjected to the testing. Spears must also meet with a parenting coach for eight hours a week. The coach will then report to the court about Spears' parenting skills. The couple has also been forbidden to talk trash about each other when they're around their kids.

Multi-millionaires acting like a bunch of "Maury" show guests. Pitiful.

Emmy's 2007

A week after the VMA's bombed, the Emmy's scored big. Ryan Seacrest proved a good host. The ultra-modern in-the-round set looked amazing. And, unlike the VMA's, this awards show actually handed out some awards!

There were plenty of funny moments. Lewis Black and Kanye West killed when they took to the stage. Best of all: sweet and innocent Sally Field was censored! When she came up to accept the award for lead actress in a drama series she said, "If mother's ruled the world there'd be no goddamned war!" The show cut away and lost audio for a good 10 seconds. Classic.

Here's a look at the big winners of the night:

Supporting actor in a comedy: Jeremy Piven "Entourage"

Supporting actress in a comedy: Jaime Pressly "My Name Is Earl"
Supporting actor in a drama: Terry O'Quinn "Lost"
Supporting actress in a dramatic series: Katherine Heigl "Grey's Anatomy"
Variety, music or comedy series: "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart"
Outstanding reality/competition: "The Amazing Race"
Lead actor in a comedy series: Ricky Gervais, "The Office"
Lead actress drama series: Sally Field, "Brothers & Sisters"
Lead actress in a comedy series: America Ferrera "Ugly Betty"
Lead actor in a drama series: James Spader "Boston Legal"
Comedy series: "30 Rock"
Drama series: "The Sopranos"

Steve Wilkos Confronts a "Devil Mom"

The Steve Wilkos Show just keeps getting better and better. In yesterday's show called "Devil Mom," Steve traveled to a Detroit jail to confront a mother who's serving time for prostituting her own daughter. The woman, who's name and identity were withheld to protect her daughter, was busted after an online conversation with undercover cops. The woman told them that she molested her daughter when she was five and wanted to bring her to a hotel for a sexual encounter with an adult. Cops busted her at the hotel with her daughter and a bag full of sex toys. She is now serving nine to 20 years behind bars. The two veteran officers working on this case said it was their hardest case ever and caused them to break down.

When Steve confronted the woman in jail, things got explosive. After listening to the "devil mom's" excuses and lack of remorse, Steve lost his shit. "I hope you rot in hell...I hope you do every damn day of 20 years," he screamed. He then stood up and yelled, "I hate you for what you did to your daughter! I can't even look at you anymore! You make me sick!" Steve was so upset he got up to end the interview screaming, "You didn't even provide a home for your daughter! You made it a living hell for her!"

Congratulations to Steve for tearing this heartless bitch to shreds. Talk about incredible television. If it's posted on YouTube, look for it here. And, make sure you check out The Steve Wilkos Show weekdays in syndication.

The Steve Wilkos Show

WORTH CHECKING OUT
If you're a fan of The Jerry Springer Show, than you're already familiar with Steve Wilkos. He's been the show's head of security for more than a decade. A few seasons ago, the show let him fill in when Jerry was out. Wilkos was so good, that he now has his own show, The Steve Wilkos Show, which launched in syndication yesterday.
The Steve Wilkos Show is an in-your-face kind of talk show much like Springer. Instead of standing back from all the action, Wilkos gets involved, telling off his guests who have done wrong.

The first show centered on a young woman who claimed she had been raped by her stepfather over a five-year period. Everyone in her family disowned her because they didn't believe her. Her step-father told Steve that he never touched her and she was just wanting attention. A lie detector test proved the woman was telling the truth. When Steve found out the step-father was lying, he got up in his face and screamed at him, demanding the truth. When the guy still wouldn't confess, Steve had security take him off the show.

If you like trashy, daytime talk shows like Maury or Jerry Springer, The Steve Wilkos Show is definitely worth checking out.

THE VMA's Were Horrible

There was a time when the MTV Video Music Awards were the most talked about music awards show on television. There were tons of performances, plenty of awards and you could always expect the outrageous. Things have changed.

The 2007 VMA's were garbage. The show was only two hours, instead of the normal three. Instead of jam-packing the shorter show with as much content as possible, the show was a sloppy mess that only those with ADD could enjoy. There were far fewer onstage performances. Instead, producers opted to fill hotel rooms with artists who performed on and off all night. Going back to these so-called "parties" got tired quick. Did we really need to see Kanye West perform several times?

The show's big get was Britney Spears, who was supposed to stage her comeback performance. But the night's most talked about moment was a disaster. The thicker-than-usual Spears looked a mess. She was out of shape, but the mother of two still wore next to nothing. She looked exhausted, barely danced and seemed to forget the words to her lip-synched track.

Britney's ex, Justin Timberlake, was the big winner of the night. The singer took home four moonmen. He also hit the nail on the head when he twice commented on how MTV should play more music videos.

THE BIG STORY
Senator Sex Scandal

Longtime Republican Senator Larry Craig of Idaho was busted sending sexual signals to an undercover cop in a bathroom. The alleged incident happened at Minneapolis-St. Paul airport back in June. According to the cop, Craig peaked into his stall and then slipped his hand under his stall as a signal for sex. Craig was arrested at the scene and later pled guilty. Now, Craig is backpeddling, saying he pled guilty so the whole mess would go away. In a press conference this week, Craig proclaimed his innocence along with his sexuality saying, "I am not gay. I have never been gay." The whole incident angered Democrats and Republicans alike and by Saturday Craig resigned from the Senate.

Owen Wilson Suicide Attempt
The most shocking story of the week was broken by the tabloids. On Monday, Star Magazine and the national Enquirer both claimed Hollywood funnywan Owen Wilson had attempted suicide. The claim was verified later in the week by a police log entry. While Wilson spent the week recovering at a Los Angeles hospital, his reps sent out a statement asking for privacy.

Nick Hogan Accident
Hulk Hogan's son, Nick Bollea, was involved in a serious accident last Sunday. Witnesses claim Bollea was racing another car when he lost control and slammed into a palm tree in Florida.
