As the hosting of Family Feud for the past two seasons, Steve Harvey has breathed new life into a game show that's been done over and over and over again. Ratings are way up and Harvey has great chemistry with contestants, which is why he's getting his own talk show. It's been cleared on very strong stations. Prediction: Harvey will do well enough to stick around for a second season.
It's
been years since people where chanting, "Go Ricki," but this fall Ricki
Lake is one of the many familiar faces who will host a syndicated talk
show. Ricki's new show will be a far cry from her old
show. Gone are the weave contests, feuding loved ones and the freaks
we've grown to love in daytime. The Ricki Lake show will now focus on
stay-at-home mothers.
He's always been great as a co-host on Live! With Kelly, so it seems natural to gives Jeff Probst his own show. He'll be focusing on stories of regular people, much like Steve Harvey.
Prediction: He's joining a very crowded daytime scene. 50/50 on whether there will be a season two.
Have you ever heard of Trisha Goddard? Unless you're from across the pond, you probably haven't. For years, she hosted a Maury-like show in London. She's appeared on Maury's show a bunch of times since and is now getting her own conflict show.
Prediction: The show will have good lead-ins because it's paired up with other conflict-style talkers in most markets. But then again, so is Jeremy Kyle and no one's watching his show.
JUSTICE FOR ALL
Cristina Perez (of Cristina's Court) returns to TV with this new court show by the king of fake court shows, Entertainment Studios. ES is behind the scripted shows America's Court with Judge Ross and We The People with Gloria Allred. No word on if this new show is fake, but based on ES's track record, it most likely is.
Prediction: ES brings backs every show even though no one watches them. JFA will probably be on (with no audience) for years to come.

WORST SHOWS OF THE SUMMER
HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO - Shame on TLC for giving this pageant brat and her trashy family a reality show. File it under one of the worst reality shows ever.
SNOOKI & JWOWW - The Jersey Shore is sooo two years ago. DUETS - ABC tried to do yet another singing competition. No one cared.
