Regis Philbin to Undergo Bypass Surgery

Regis Philbin announced he'll be having heart bypass surgery sometime this week. The longtime talk show host made the announcement on "Regis & Kelly" this morning. The 75-year-old told the audience he had been having some chest pains lately and after a few tests, doctors agreed the bypass would be the best option.A very supportive Kelly Ripa joked with Reege upon hearing his big announcement, saying she'll be his nurse and give him sponge baths as he recovers. At the end of the show, Regis thanked the New York audience and everyone at home for their kind words of support.
