THE BIG STORY
Subway Superman
The big story of the week: the New York City man who jumped in front of an oncoming subway to save the life of a complete stranger. Wesley Autrey was waiting for the subway with his two girls when he saw a man have a seizure and fall onto the tracks. Autrey immediately reacted by jumping on top of the 19-year-old film student and held him down as the train rushed over them. Incredibly, neither were hurt. Autrey spent the rest of week being honored by Mayor Bloomberg and even Donald Trump. He also made the rounds, appearing on GMA, The Early Show and The Late Show With David Letterman.
