Letterman Regular Calvert DeForest Dies

Calvert DeForest who became an instant classic on the Late Show with David Letterman as Larry Bud Melman has died at 85 years old. DeForest made dozens appearances on Letterman starting back in 1982. David Letterman released a statement saying:
“Everyone always wondered if Calvert was an actor playing a character, but in reality he was just himself - a genuine, modest and nice man. To our staff and to our viewers, he was a beloved and valued part of our show, and we will miss him.”
Sadly, there will be no funeral for DeForest at his request. He left no survivors.
