UK REALITY STAR JADE GOODY DIES
Sunday, March 22, 2009
Jade Goody, a reality television star who fought her brave battle with cancer in the public eye, has died. She was just 27 years old.
Goody became a household name in the UK in 2002 when she joined the cast of BIG BROTHER. She went on to appear in several other reality shows. On one of them, she got the grim news from her doctor that she had cervical cancer.
As with everything else, Goody battled the disease in front of the camera and went on with her life. Even though she knew she had only weeks to live, she married fiance Jack Tweed in February. Her head was bald and she was frail, but she still walked down the aisle. The wedding was documented by a TV crew and she was paid for it. Goody said the money would be for her kids when she passed away.
Goody died overnight in her sleep. Today is Mother's Day in the UK.
