LENO BEATS LETTERMAN IN RETURN
Tuesday, March 02, 2010
Jay Leno's return to late night easily beat The Late Show in the ratings. Leno's "Tonight Show" scored 6.6 million viewers last night, compared to David Letterman's 3.8 million.
If you missed it, Jamie Foxx was way overly enthusiastic about Leno's return. The actor couldn't stay seated, jumping up constantly to get the audience psyched about Leno's first show back. The monologue fell flat, relying on a bunch of silly clips for forced laughs from the audience. The look of the show is similar to the 10. The theme is the same with a new open. The set was tweaked slightly and Leno's got his desk back.
