OUT OF REHAB AND NOT SAYING MUCH
Robin Williams and Mel Gibson are fresh out of rehab and talking. Sort of. Robin Williams made the rounds this week, talking about his new movie. He appeared on David Letterman, but when Letterman asked him about his time in rehab Robin Williams was, well, Robin Williams. All schtick and no serious answers. It's nice that Williams can make light of a serious situation, but it would have been great to hear him answer a few questions without all the comedy.
For a week, "Good Morning America" bragged about scoring the first interview with Mel Gibson since he went on a anti-semitic drunken tirade. They dragged their big get out for two days, but the whole thing was a snooze. Gibson came off like an arrogant, unremorseful buffoon. Gibson called his remarks the "stupid rambling of a drunkard," but offered few apologies. He also revealed that he had enough presense of mind to run a little water through his hair so his mugshot wouldn't look bad. What a vein bastard. Hmmm, if he had the smarts to clean up for his mugshot, then why didn't he have it together enough to shut his mouth when he was arrested? Me thinks he knew exactly what he was saying to the cop that night. Just shameful.
