American Gladiators to Return
Saturday, August 25, 2007
NBC is bringing back the classic competitive series American Gladiators. The show will keep its old formula of pitting average Joe contestants up against trained gladiators. The new American Gladiators will feature new arena challenges, some of which will involve water. The original show ran throughout the 1990's and was syndicated on the weekend. This time, NBC will broadcast it during primetime as a midseason replacement. Producers have not settled on a host yet, but they are said to be looking at some "big names." The show is also in talks with professional and retired athletes from various sports to be the Gladiators.

I can't wait to see who will take on such "Gladiator" names as "Turbo" and "Laser"! Haha... too funny that they are going to try to revive this show.
