STARBUCKS CHEER CHAIN
Saturday, December 22, 2007
Looking for a heart-warming story this holiday season? Look no further:
One woman's act of kindness to a fellow Starbucks customer resulted in more than 1,000 others spreading some Christmas cheer.
It all started last Wednesday when a woman at a Marysville, Washington Starbucks paid for the person in line behind her. Her good deed set off a chain of 1,013 customers paying for the next person's drink. Many of the customers also threw in an extra $10 or $20 which will be donated to the coffee giant's Chistmas toy drive.
The long run of kindness finally ended at 6:20 AM on Friday. So, who's the cheap bastard who decided to end this cheer chain?
This isn't the first time something like this has happened at a Starbucks. Last week in Pampano Beach, Florida, one man decided that instead of getting mad at the guy honking behind him, he'd buy him a latte.
