John Mark Karr Speaks Out
Tuesday, October 17, 2006
John Mark Karr spoke out in a very shady interview today. Last summer, he said he was there when Jon Benet Ramsey was murdered. His DNA did not match DNA found at the crime scene, so Karr was let go.
Today, he appeared in a highly editted interview with Dr. Keith Ablow. Karr and his lawyer sharply criticized the show before the interview even aired. They claimed producers got him drunk off several glasses of wine, so he didn't know what he was saying. Dr. Keith denies that. Karr's lawyer also claims the show taped him without his knowledge. Incredibly, Dr. Keith admits his show did that. The show sat him down for an on camera interview, but they also set up a camera to capture what he thought he was saying off the record. Seems like the Dr. Keith Ablow show may soon be the subject of a lawsuit.
The whole show was just bizarre. They bragged about getting this big interview but instead of airing the interview as is, it was short clip after short clip. Each clip was interupted by Ablow and his guests. We barely heard from Karr. When we did, of course, he was creepy. He said he loves children's films and remembers having an orgasm when he was only four years old. But nothing he said was all that suprising and it definitely seems the show was trying to dupe Karr just to get the big interview.
