'JUDGE KAREN' TO RETURN TO TV
Monday, November 16, 2009
Here's something that rarely happens. A canceled show is coming back to television.
Sony canceled Judge Karen last year after one season in syndication. Next fall, the show will return to daytime with a new name, Judge Karen's Court. The show has been picked up Litton Entertainment. The show was brought back at the request of the Sinclair Broadcasting Group, which owns stations in larger midsize markets like Pittsburgh. It's one of several new court shows being planned for fall 2010. Nancy Grace will take on Judge Judy in Swift Justice with Nancy Grace. Jay McGraw, Dr. Phil's son and the producer of The Doctors, is marketing a spin-off called, The Lawyers. Also in the works, Entertainment Studios' America's Court with Judge Ross and Trifecta's Judge Heck.
