INFOTAINMENT FOR THE PEOPLE OF EARTH SINCE 2006

BARBARA WALTERS MOST FASCINATING PEOPLE OF 2009

Barbara Walters presented her annual look at the 10 most fascinating people of the year tonight. Enjoy this recap.

#10 LADY GAGA - Lady Gaga took her sunglasses off for the interview, telling Walters that she doesn't take her glasses off for just anybody. Barbara said, "bluffin with my muffin," when asking Gaga about her sexual orientation. LG said her relationships have always been with men, although she has hooked up with women.

#9 JENNY SANFORD - Broke up with politician husband, Mark Sandford, when he cheated on her in a much publicized affair.

#8 TYLER PERRY - Popular films have grossed more than $400 million.

#7 KATE GOSSELIN - Wholesome TLC star whose TV showed was canceled after her and her husband had a messy public break-up. She told Barbara that her kids miss the cameras.

# 6 GLENN BECK - Controversial TV host who's outspoken against President Obama. He told Barbara that he's afraid that our freedoms will slip away with us having a choice.

#5 ADAM LAMBERT - American Idol runner-up whose American Music Awards performance was X-rated. Lambert told Walters that he had no regrets about the performance. He says he's not sure what affect the performance will have on her career.

#4 BRETT FAVRE - 40-year-old Football player who's still in the game. Retirement just doesn't work for this guy and he's tried!

#3 SARAH PALIN - The first person to be on Barbara Walters' list two years in a row. In 2009, she abruptly left her post as governor of Alaska and authored a best-selling book. She told BW her perfect day would be one where she's at home with her five children, eating moose stew.

#2 THE JACKSON KIDS - When Michael Jackson died, he left behind three children. BW did not score an interview with the kids, showing file of them from previous interviews. Michael did not make the list because it only includes people who are still alive.

#1 MICHELLE OBAMA - The first African American first lady said there are times when she pinches herself as she's walking through the White House. (If you were watching David Letterman last night, you would have seen Letterman guess correctly about Barbara's top secret number one pick. Barbara just squirmed in her seat after he guessed it was Mrs. Obama. Sounds like Letterman got some inside info.)
