DON IMUS ON OXYGEN?
Thursday, January 07, 2010
Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa appeared on the Howard Stern show this morning and sunk his fangs into radio rival Don Imus. Sliwa said that Imus uses oxygen live on the air during his show. He also claimed that Imus was nasty to everyone on his staff, especially the sales people. Sliwa said he would often see the longtime host tear into interns and make them cry. Sliwa does have an ax to grind with Imus. He was dropped from New York's powerful WABC radio, which replaced him with Imus' show. But Sliwa might be getting the last laugh. On Monday, he starts a new morning drive show on rival WNYM 970AM "The Apple."
